I get Holliday and Aramis Ramirez and I give up Pujols? I keep hearing rumors that Holliday's numbers will decline after being traded, and I have never really been a major fan of Aramis. Am I stupid?

  1. I would take the trade.Holliday will have better numbers than Pujols this year but Aramis's team is an offensive juggernaut. Its one of those lineups where it is so dangerous that everyone is going to hit well and hit often ( Mark DeRosa can end up with 90 RBIs this year).

Because of the glut, there will be a great deal of chances for Ramirez to accumulate great stats, even moreso since Soriano hogging the RBIs in the leadoff spot ( they have fuko going on base before him, and his on base 40% of the time, and doesn't just hit homeruns). Ramirez has a great deal of protection this year, and barring injuries, could have maybe his best year in his career. Since their offense is good, he has been willing to hold off for his pitch and take the walk ( he already has 42, one under last years total.) so his run production should be up as well.

I take this: Holliday can't outdo what he ddi last year, but will put up impressive numbers.Pujols will put up great numbers, but you are pretty much getting two-for-one. Take it.

Ps: Colorado is getting their hitters back ( Helton soon, Tulo down again, but back again soon, Hawpe, Barnes) and their lineup is hitting again, so look for Holliday and Atkins to start becoming monsters for the Summer. Take them now.

  2. Holliday plays in one of the best hitters parks on the planet. He finished #2 overall last year. Ramirez is a bit inconsistent but Pujols is playing through some injuries this year and I would unload him before he falls apart.

    I would make the deal
