I realize Nady has cooled off and I'm buying high here, but I've been wanting to unload Maine for awhile now. Volq could fizzle or win the Cy, so who knows? And either Nady or Holliday could get traded. Little Help?

You wouldn't be giving much in Maine and getting a potential star in Volquez. I'd be surprised if the other guy agrees to the trade.

I wouldn't do it. You know what Holliday can do for you and its pretty d**n good. Maine is having a bad year so even though you know he can get you 15 wins or so it wont happen this year. Volquez is the best pitcher in baseball right now but depending on your pitching now you shouldn't worry about him. Nady is actually still ranked high in fantasy (somewhere in the 50's I believe) but yes he will really start to cool off soon. There could be some pitchers in the FA that can do you well rather than having to give up THE BEST PLAYER in the trade (Holliday). Unless you have an extremely sick team with other players like Reyes, Utley, Cabrera, etc. (at least 3 other high top tier players do not do the trade. Its much to high of a risk for you.

It's a pretty fair trade. Volquez is better then Maine, but Holliday is better then Nady. If you can afford to lose Holliday I would make the trade. Volquez has been great all year. He leads the major leagues in ERA and strike outs. I'd probably make the trade.
