I will be traveling to Italy in June, 2008. I'll be visiting Rome, Florence, Assisi, and Pisa. While in Italy, I'll be visiting the Sistine Chapel, St. Peter's Basillica, the Piaza Venezia, Pantheon, Spanish Steps, Basillica of St. Francis, Piazza della Signoria, Ponte Vecchio, Gates of Paradise, and the Leaning Tower of Piza. This will be within a five day time peroiod. Then I will be traveling to Spain for another five days, then returning to the United States. The trip will cost approximately USD$2870. The cost includes all flights, hotel accomodations, and breskfast & dinners. Am I visiting all the main attractions, and do you think this trip is worth it?

  1. Bring really comfortable shoes!  Any trip to Italy is worth it. Eat Drink and have fun.

Shop for shoes and clothes while there. Pack lite so you can load up.  Even though the exchange is bad it will still be orht showing of your italian made clothes.

  2. yes sounds like a great trip :) and a good price for all of it.....

have fun :)  and make sure that you don't wear shorts in the cathedrals...... the person can be picky about who gets to go in ......

  3. Hello,

This trip  sounds very rushed to me.  You can easily spend 5 days in Rome seeing the things you mentioned and another 5 days in Florence.  Seeing Vatican City ( the museum including the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter's basillica) will take most of one day.  You are going to travel to 4 different cities in 5 days and then onto another country.  The price does sound good for a 10 day trip if it includes all dinners and breakfasts but you will be very rushed.  You should be able to find a better deal out there that will give you more time in the cities you want to see.  Spending one day in Rome and one day in Florence will not let you enjoy these cities.   You can do this trip yourself for probably less than what the tour you are talking about charges.  Check out virtualtourist.com for some good information on planning a trip by yourself.  You will get some great ideas and learn how to save some money, what to see and what not to see.

    Good luck

  4. it's worth it, bring a good camera with you

  5. It is indeed. I am Italian but living in London.

It sounds as a very all inclusive offer and for a very good price too. I am sure you will not be disappointed

    You will enjoy it!!!

May be next time you will came to Italy would be worthy you looking to spend some time vising the south of Italy, that is great too.

Naples, Sorrento, Amalfi, Capri and the fantastic Sicily.

I am Neapolitan so... you understand no place is more beautiful than home.

Have a great time them and enjoy il Belpaese.

    Ciao

  6. I really thing this is a good deal.  The fact that you are getting the meals included is a big plus.  I am currently trying to book a trip for March 2008 also.  I have found many packages but none included ALL breakfasts and dinners but they had a similar price to your trip.

One thing is that you must try to find out which hotels you will be staying at.

Can get really good information on the sites, cities and especially hotels on www.tripadvisor.com.  There are tons of reviews on hotels and it is very helpful.

    Hope this helps.
