Is this true? Periods will kill cucumber plants??

i know this sounds totally insane, the other day i heard if you are on your period not to go near cucumber plants because it will kill them

is that true

i dont know about cucumbers but I fear for my life during my wifes "killer moon". sorry, couldnt help myself. the cucumber thing sounds rediculous to me?
