Is this true about Mirena IUD?

I heard someone talking about the Mirena IUD today and she was saying to never get it because it allows you to get pregnant, but then it aborts the baby. I have never heard that before. Is it true, or was she just not telling the truth? Ha. She was saying her Dr told her that, but.

The old style IUD would let you ovulate.  Therefore a sperm and egg could meet.  If you believe that life begins at conception, then yes it would make you abort.  Again, this was the old style IUD, the copper one, not Mirena
