Is this true about bee's?

Question

I had a hive in the house when the exterminator came he told me that once the hive was dead that the workers out side the hive would die in 48 hours.

I forgot to ask why? Its bugging me. No pun intended.

Yes because since the hive is in your house they have no where to get there food and without the leader that is called a queen bee they will die since they have no one to guide them from danger. i hope this could help you alot. god bless.

That is so sad! did the exterminator poisin the hive and kill all the bees in it? If not you should have someone take it outside so the bees dont have to die...

with a dead hive there is no queen for direction and no larve to feed. also their wing's wear out from all of the flight.
