Question:

Is this true about loosing this weight??

i heard this one kid saying that someone told him to just drink protein shakes and eat nothing and he lost 10 pounds and a belt size within a week. (keep in mind that im guessing protein shakes make you full faster because they are protein..)

but what im asking is what type of protein shake do you think he used??? like regular muscle building ones or something...

do they taste good?

    how about lowering your calorie intake and do some more excercise instead? :)

  2. Protein shakes are for people who want to build muscle, not lose weight (my boyfriend used to drink it). They have no fat in them and taste absolutely awful.

    It should NOT be taken in replacement for real food. This is stupid and dangerous.

    The only reason he lost any weight was because he wasn't eating anything, the protein shakes did nothing. And it's very unlikely he lost 10lb in a week - the most a human can lose on average in a week is 3lbs.

    Don't fall for this stupid idea and lose weight the proper way.

  3. There are a lot of protein shakes out there and some of them taste ok, and some are pretty awful.

    The main problem is with the 'plan' this kid is describing, is that even if you make it the 5 days and take off a little weight, you can't drink nothing but shakes for the rest of your life.  The minute you go back to eating regular food, any weight lost is going to come right back, and will probably bring friends.

  4. it is NOT true, people drink protein shakes along with working out to help them gain muscle but never to loose weight. And if you did try it and lose like 10 pounds in a week, that is VERY unhealthy and it's not the natural way to loose weight, you would very easily gain it all back within a few weeks. The natural way to loose weight would be working out 3-4 times a week, while maintaining a normal diet. Plus not snacking on junk-food in between meals, if you do get hungry in between meals have a fruit or veggie or a glass of water. Also you should always have a glass of water before every meal.

    NOTE: It takes your stomach 20 minutes to realize it's full, so you should always chew your food slowly And don't stuff yourself to where you feel full when really you were full 16 bites ago.
