I have heard this and just wanted to know if it is a myth. When I professional boxer is training for a fight.. he is discouraged from having s*x as it somehow lessens his ability to box. Is this true and if so why is it true? I am just curious about this.

  1. Adam got it, old day trainers used to swear by it. It is still practiced today by taken less seriously. But I know if i havnt had s*x in a month i can be one cranky mean b*****d which would be a good thing for training and fighting.

I couldn't blow a load then go get into a fight, I know that for sure. So there is some truth to it, how much? Meh probably differs with the individual.

I know Oscar DeLaHoya follows the rule.

  2. no its absolute bullshit they've done profeshional studies time and time again about that myth testing the professionals strengh, speed, and endurance both with and without s*x the night before and it not only didn't weaken the athlete it in most cases improved his or her performance.

  3. It has to do with testosterone levels. If a man has s*x shortly before any type of physical activity, his performance is compromised due to a lower level of testosterone.

  4. i dont think so...

  5. I box im only a amtuer right now tho...and yes some people do use this method to stay focused but only for 3 months at the most
