  1. shows you she doesnt know much about anything. if she says it to the wrong person she might get a bloody nose.

  2. So long as you're not insulting and rude to anyone.  That's true at any age.  It does get easier to speak your mind as you get older, though.  You become less concerned about what others think about you and your opinions.

  3. Honey, never be afraid to express yourself. When i was young i was very shy. I thought "children are to be seen and not heard". Maybe you have never heard of that expression. It's an old one. That's why I was very quiet as a kid. Now you can't shut me up! It's true, as we get older it becomes easier to speak your mind. As long as you are discreet and don't hurt others with your words, say what's on your mind. After all we have the freedon of speech here in the good 'ole USA! It's our right.

  4. It's your entitlement at any age,but we have no more right to offend or be rude than a person of a younger age

  5. I don't know if it is my right, but I do find that as I get older I worry less about what other people think.

  6. I've always followed the rule to keep your mouth closed until your mind is in gear.  And sometimes the most profound statements are those that are said in silence.  I think that these are good rules to follow at any age.

  7. Gosh, I've enforced my right to do  this since I was young. No matter what your age though you don't have the right to be hurtful or rude.

  8. Now that I am older, I find I'm more confident in my answers, right or wrong.  I don't care so much what others think about my opinion.  I just exercise my right to say what I think rather than shrink back into a corner and listen.

  9. If no one would listen for the last 50 years, why waste any more breath on on them...just ignore them ... I think thats the best answer.

  10. As long as you do not hurt another in doing so

  11. Say whatever you want at any age. I believe in transparency in all things.

  12. Grandma is correct. I could say almost anything I wanted when I was younger but now that I am an old gramma people accept my mouthy words a whole lot more. (Nice too long a sentence isn't it? ) ♥

  13. Yes it is.  I guess when you get older you don't care what people think anymore.  When my mom and I had lunch last month, the waitress asked if we enjoyed the meal.  My mom replied "It wasn't good, but I am eating it anyway because I am hungry." If she were younger she probably would  have said everything was fine.

  14. I suppose she can.

But, I am still careful to not hurt other people's feelings, if possible.

  15. I think with age we tend to feel that we can do whatever we want, because of our years, we've earned it.   But age doesn't give us the right to step on any ones toes, so to speak, or hurt them with words.  You must learn to use courtesy.

  16. I think it's ok to speak your mind at any age as long as your respectful and you don't hurt anyone.

  17. I know elderly people that say that. If that's true they must be prepared to hear the same back to them.

If they can't take what they give out, they are just rude and obnoxious.

    Tell your grandmother that.

  18. You have the right to speak your mind about anything at any age.

  19. You have the right at any age ...... hopefully, as one grows older one has the intelligence and compassion of knowing when and where to speak your mind.
