My nephew is now 4 months old and had jealously issues of my month old baby and hates being put down. He'll scream, scream, scream if he sees me picking up my son to give him the needed attention. So, is it typical babies that age need mommy or someone to hold them constantly or the fussing never ends? If, so is there a way to prevent it, so my baby wont be as bad with fussing b/c he "needs" constant attention? My baby isn't acting like his baby cousin as of now but thought it would be wise to find out.

  1. Babies love to be held, and here is nothing wrong with holding your baby all the time. You should enjoy this while they are young because some day they will not want this and you'll miss it. I suggest you get a carrier or sling of some kind and enjoy the comfort of keeping your baby close to your body. All babies are different of course and yours might not be like your nephew at all.

  2. It might not seem like it, but its probably just a coincidence.  At four months old he doesn'tt understand enough to get jealous.  And needing constant attention is atemperamentt thing, they are either like that or not.  The most important thing to remember is there is no such thing as a want for a young baby, only a need.
