  1. Can't you admit that if we had not invaded the country there would not BE any destruction? Hide your heads in the sand but it remains a fact. Building a pool does not say anything about the war/invasion. Next we'll build one in Afghanistan!!

  2. The funniest thing about Liberals is their uncanny ability to see gloom and despair where everyone normal sees a glowing rainbow of hope.  If life returned completely to normal in Iraq, so unremittingly normal that a lead story read, "Prosperous Iraqis Getting Fat", a Liberal would denounce our intervention there as a failure.

Here's one for the record books:  Last year a guy on Yahoo agreed with me that Reagan was responsible for winning the Cold War. However, he gave the credit to Gorbachev. ..... What???

He agreed that Reagan had held firm and refused to give in to the Soviet leader's demands. He agrees that strategy forced the Soviets to concede the Cold War. However, here is his Liberal logic: "... I am sure the Cold War would still be going if Gorbachev had not thrown in the towel."

I laughed about that for days. Instead of praising Reagan for pursuing the most amazing strategy, a completely non-violent, bloodless win against a very hostile and determined enemy, he credits Gorbachev for being out-played by Reagan. It would be like rushing up to the losing basketball team, and heaping praise on them for not playing well enough to win against your home team.

If Gorbachev had intentionally set out to do what he was duped into doing, he would have been shot as a traitor. People who think Gorbachev had the permission of the Politboro to come to the U.S. and negotiate away their status as a superpower is delusional. Gorbachev wanted to strengthen and consolidate his power, not dissipate it.

So as you can see, no matter what the issue is, the Liberal will always see it from his own, exasperatingly "unique" (and somewhat loony) perspective.

  3. Yeah, yeah, Sadr City never should have been destroyed in the first place, but thanks to your buddy Bush the whole country is in ruins and 4,500 Americans are DEAD because of it. Lets see if he invades Iran as a parting shot before he gets out of power. (power that he abused) "Truly priceless."

  4. I agree with Patchl. There is nothing good in the world to a liberal. They can find doom and gloom in any situation. This is my favorite saying:

Annoy a liberal, smile and enjoy life.
