Is this underaged drinking?

Alright,

On myspace, Ive seen people (girls mostly) in highschool and its like I love to get drunk.

Isnt that underaged drinking?

Why dont they get fined?

It would be a LOT of work trying to enforce everyone's myspace page.  Nearly impossible.

Locally a parent can contact their childs school if this is an issue, I know someone who did because her daughter was  drinking (underage) with friends and they posted it online.

But yeah, it's stupid, and something should be done.  Parents should pay more attention to what their kids are doing. :-/

yes it is especially if there is a picture of them with alcohol in their hands.

cuz u hafta get caught in the act. u can walk up to a cop at 14 yrs  old and say "i was soooo wasted sat night" and they cant do a thing about it. no proof.

Think about it. they cant get fined from a picture. I dont think cops are looking for pics of girls who are drinking then track them down and fine them.

If you ain't 21 it's underage drinking and the cops have much more to do than to be looking for drunk high school kids. They should be getting their as* beat by their parents...

Because lots of people underage drink. It's just life...and the cops have way better crimes to worry about then a few rowdy teenagers knocking back a few beers.

Yeah it's illegal but authorities have child molesters and murderers to track down, if some kids are drinking and staying in a house and not raising h**l, police have a hard time catching them in the act.

There are good health reasons why not to drink while underage anyway, they are hurting themselves even if they don't get caught.

They don't get fined because nobody is there to enforce the law.

I like to get drunk myself, on occasion, but if you feel you love to get drunk you should start watching for alcoholism mam.

The police have to see you intoxicated not just in pictures to get a fine. many employers and school officals look at myspace and facebook and if you are in high school that can affect participation in sports. Not a good idea to have those pics up.

Well, you could always report them, but unless there's a picture of them actually swallowing the drink it's not underage drinking.

It IS child endangerment, and the parents can get in trouble, if it was at a parents house.

yeah, but without solid proof they cannot get arrested. you can write anything on the internet, but you cannot arrest someone over something like that.

I'm just going to reiterate what everyone else is saying:

a) cops have better things to do than peruse through all these girls' MySpaces and fine them,

b) and their drinking will come back to haunt them if they try to get a job, as many employers nowadays are searching through prospective employee's Facebooks and MySpaces for dirt that could damage their chances of landing a job.

So if you're looking for someone to crack down on these girls, your time'll come soon :)
