My mother made me feel like I had to spend a fortune on clothes, to look good, and it's eroded my savings, away from the goal amount I had planned, to aim for.

  1. I like to spend a reasonable ammount on certain clothes. But i wouldn't waste all my money on very expencive clothes. You should tell her that your going to spend your money on what you want. Maybe even use an excuse like i need to use it to buy some more school books =) Then just go out shopping & buy what you want haha! That way she will realise there are better things to splash cash on! =-)

Hope My advice Helped You !

  2. Yeh do what you like with your money you don't have to splash out to look good!

  3. you don't have to follow what she says and where to spend your money.. if you think you're spending it wisely and you're happy having your savings then do what u feel is right.

  4. Sorry, Irena....You are responsible for your own life and your own choices. You don't get to blame Mom.

  5. Once again.

    Your money, your choice.

    Your clothes, your choice.

    Period.

And just like the other question you asked...If she invades you like this at the age of thirty then you have allowed her to.

  6. tell her clothes doesnt make a person and your putting your money into a saving for more important things. its your money and you need to let her know your in control of it.
