Is this unsafe to drive with?

i have a crack in my front window by my rearview mirror and it goes striaght down in 2 directions its maybe 3-4 inches long...is that safe to drive with for now or should i not try to drive the car

  1. its safe for now because your wind sheild has to layers of safty glass. so even if it shattered while you driving it wouldnt fall in on you. but everytime you hit a bump or go fast the wind will break it even more. you should get it fixed as soon as you can. but you can still drive it.


  2. it would be ok but it is against the law in some states you could recieve a ticket for the crack for obstruction or your view

  3. safe yes illegal maybe call a few places thats in the phone book and ask about replacement  some wil come you and the prices are fairly cheap now days had two done not solong ago one was 150 buck and the other was 165 could him like a hour to do both

  4. Well , it's safe for now, but these cracks spread in time, and as your windsceen is already weakened by the crack, it it is hit by a stone thrown up by another vehicle, it could suddenly shatter and cause to to lose control, so I would not leave it too long before you get it fixed.

  5. It will be safe and what you should do is just put a small mark at the end of the cracks so that you can see if they have increased over the next week or so........
