A good rule for applying for scholarships and grants is that you should NEVER have to pay to get a schoarship or a grant.  The companies that charge you money and guarantee you aid always have fine print.  

Legit scholarship and grant programs will always have a FREE application process.  The financial aid office at your school should be able to direct you to reliable websites or just check websites for any college, many provide links on their websites for outside scholarships
