Okies,so I was just wondering if you peoples could help me out a bit.....

Is there anyone else like me,who can look at people and make them into different shapes and give them different colours?????

For instance,I see someone and they are a rectangle with rounded edges and they are pink and yellow stripes.

Or can anybody else listen to some music, and give a song a certain colour or shape?????

For instance,a certain song is blue and a circle.

Is this weird?????

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

  1. this sort of thing reminds me of the great philosopher and teacher of our time Rudolph Steiner. he was Austrian and lived from 1861 - 1925.

he experienced allot of spiritual stuff and justified it with logic and science.

he was also the founder of a series of schools called the 'steiner schools' in his name. there are steiner schools all around the world. i went to one of them.

in the steiner school we are encouraged to develop our artistic and spiritual brain by relating what we see to images in our heads. for example in school we learnt all about different colours, but not only that, the shape and texture and life of colours. i believe this is what you are experiencing.

for example i look at someone and i think they are a very purple person. i listen to a song and i think that this is a very triangular song which has very green characteristics. this isperfectlyy normal, and is taught at schools all around the world. it helps to develop the brain and help it to understand, and in a way personify the world around it.

go and have a look at what wikipedia says about Rudolph Steiner (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rudolf_Stei... and make your mind up for yourself. this is not some spooky airy fairy stuff, but the stuff that true people are made of. you might like to read some of RudolphSteiner'ss books, you can get them at mostlibrary'ss, he was a greatscholarr and has many books about his spiritual and creative life findings.

  2. Yeah I've heard of this before. Apparently its genetic too it can be passed on to your kids so maybe ask your parents. You should see a doctor to rule out serious neurological problems though

  3. could it be that you're mind is exaggerating everything in your head? i mean, you're imagination is to that extent...

  4. as long as its not drugs

then there is actually a neurological condition called Synesthesia that can involve people seeing certain sounds as colors or shapes and numbers as different colors, there a several different forms of it but yours sounds most like Sound → color synesthesia

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synesthesia...

  5. If that's really happening to you, see a doctor right away.

Do you drive a car? Does this happen all the time? Are you using drugs? Are you making this up just to see what kind of answer you get?

I remember seeing some stuff like that when I was smoking some strong weed and taking acid back in the 1970s. Yeah, I remember being able to "see" music.

I don't do stuff like that anymore. I don't think I could keep a job and pay my bills if I was still doing that.

  6. I don't think it's in the least bit weird... it something that makes you unique. I've heard of this kind of thing. If it doesn't interfere with your life,  think of it as a gift, and enjoy it. Hopefully it will give you a different perspective in life.

    Kinda cool.

  7. actually this is a disorder they had on dateline their are certain people with genes that CAN see colors in music and perhaps people too..

This is not necessarily schizophrenia. I will try to find the name of it I think it was on dateline.

If you ask me it was pretty cool now that I think of it I think it was on "this sunday morning" show.

They had people on who could see music in colors.

"These researchers from Granada underline that synaesthetes always experience the same vision, synaesthesia is permanent (a given stimulus always evokes the same color for one person) and idiosyncratic (it is different for each person). Therefore, if for a synaesthete the word dog is red, every time he or she sees it, it will be perceived as red. "

    just google synaesthesia or wikipedia

  8. i do but i also listen and see people as being able to read them on which kind of person they are or if i listen to  a song i can read what part of my life it can realate to..i can understand you

  9. Reminds me of a book called "A Mango-Shaped Space" http://www.flamingnet.com/bookreviews/re...
