Question:

Is this weird (my body!)?

I've tried every diet & exercise to help me lose weight to no avail (I can make muscle easily though!).

The only thing that has worked is if I don't eat past 7 (nothing!). It seems that even if I eat a lot before 7 I'm fine. If I eat a little but then eat after 7 I gain weight.

I know they say you don't burn the food when you're sleeping but isn't that just odd??

  1. No it is not odd. You should not eat after 7pm. When this is done your body has an adequate amount of time to burn calories and digest.

  2. You do burn some calories in sleep, but not as much as when you are awake. It is very common that people who eat before a certain time at night and not after have a better time managing their weight. The main reason for this is actually due to your bodies internal response to slow your metabolism during sleep, to conserve caloric flow through your body in order to sustain you through your nightly fast.
