  1. OK just a warning... i know the whole thing about being able to stand on your toes in exciting and fascinating but please don't do it in normal shoes or in your ballet flats. you should only do that in pointes. you will seriously hurt your feet doing that. being on demi is fine but not standing on your actual toes. you could break them and do serious damage to your foot muscles. maybe you should talk to you teacher and see if you are ready to actually start pointe work and if not just yet maybe she can give you exercises that could make you ready for them. please be really really careful. good luck!

  2. Its not weird, it just means that you have very strong feet and are probably ready for pointe work. But its definitely not the best idea...Your foot is not being supported and it would be a better idea to do this on actual pointe shoes.

    I hope this helps :)

  3. There is no problem with this if your feet are strong enough. If they are not, you are likely to hurt yourself. My ex wife used to give her students, who were just starting point work, rises through the feet up on to point in their normal ballet shoes. This is very good for strengthening the feet when you are ready for it. Don't be in a rush to get on pointe; there are a lot of basic things to perfect before you reach this stage.

  4. not really but i wouldnt because if you  do you can and most likely ruin your feet and will never be able to go on pointe
