Some of the biggest headlines for this election have been what Obama's pastor said and the pregnancy of Salin's unwed daughter. In the previous election, the tipping point for the election was likely the question over John Kerry's specifics of his Vietnam War service. Like whether he deserved his Purple Hearts or how many times was he actually shot.

And McCain not knowing how many properties he and his wife owns? Or how Obama's wife described her pride in her country? WHO THE h**l CARES?

Sad how stupid the American public has become when coming to how to determine the President.

Gossip, unssuported claims, ad hominem attacks, etc... I hear you. That's the American media for you.The media has become the American Idol for news broadcasting in that It appeals to emotions rather than logic.

Short answer: Yes, this is what American politics have degraded to.

Long answer: Each party claims there is a media bias against them. Each party claims that they are being unfairly attacked. Each party thinks Americans are stupid because we keep voting for them.

The truth is most people couldn't care less, but just like a radio station that keeps playing a really crappy song, if that is all we are given to work with that is what we hear.

Solution: Vote for a third party, even if they don't win this time, next time they might get enough support to get their point across.
