I have my doubts about Pep coaching the senior team because he lacks experience coaching. All of this that you have written gives me hope. He has already openly stated that Ronaldinho and Eto'o were not in his plans, so he appears to be bringing the mentality and leadership he had coaching Barça B along with him to the senior team.

Eto'o did not play in the preseason match against Fiorentina. Afterwards, Pep reiterated that Eto'o still does not feature into his plans. The man is definately displaying some "juevos" even though Laporta has softened the stance regarding Eto'o (Laporta would like him to stay. To be honest, so do I, but no player is above the team).

YES! Pep's mentality is very much needed. The team lost a lot of passion and motivation following Paris 2006.

Pep is a Culé from head to toe and wants the best for his club.

Hopefully this season's results will prove Pep's methods to be correct.
