  1. We all know the Govt. wants the Euro and how better to get public vote of confidence than for the Euro to be worth more than the pound. Give it 18 months and we will be in that exact position.

The Government is seriously corrupt and needs a complete overhaul. get rid of all Fat Cat family-money men and bring in a new age government that is focused on this country and this country only until we get it sorted...then worry about the rest of the world.

    There's my 2 pence (2Euro cents) worth!!

  2. This word 'prudence' was something dreamt up by the Labour backroom staff! What a joke!

I have never known the country in such a financial state as this! This is what happens when you let a bunch of misfit amateur so called politicians in to run the country! They would be better running a Student Union Ball!

Everything they come up with turns out to be one big joke!

  3. Thank God we have the SNP in charge in Scotland at least we make the right decisions sometimes.  Like free care for the old, prescription charges to be free for all in two years, and a freeze on council tax.

However with regards to your question, I believe if the Tory's get it the country will be sold away in privatisation deals.  Labour has let us down and yes we have the right to angry.  Maybe another party should come to the rescue.?

    Monster Raving Loony Party?

  4. Alistair Darling is a liability for this country. Hopefully people are waking up to realise what the Labour party is all about - Tax, Spend and more tax. It doesn't matter how they dress it up or spin it with new names etc, the Labour party has always been the same. If you've earnt an honest pound, they'll want to give the majority of it to someone else.

  5. oh i,m sure people would like to spend the pound,it,s just under this government we don,t have any to spend.

  6. "Gordon Brown"

    "Prudence"

Now they are two people who have not been seen in the same room for over nine years now,  ever since Broon had got past his pledge to stick to the Conservative spending plans for the first two years as Chancellor.

    .

  7. Oh boy, another tabloid Daily Express reader trying to have a say in what goes on in the real world.

  8. It must have been.

  9. I have been in the real world for over 60 years and I have never lived with such a totally inept government. i did not vote for them but wished them well in the knowledge that if they fail we all suffer. By the left theyhave failed .

  10. he should be shot........

  11. I think you are right DaveH, this country is going to pot in more ways than one.  Take the money being pumped into the new measures to get first time buyers onto the housing ladder, or help people in trouble with their mortgage.  The reason why they can't get on the ladder, or have trouble, is because they cannot afford it in the first place - which is how we have ended up in this situation, banks lending lots of money to people who don't have the earning power in today's market.  The best hope they have is allowing the market to crash - making housing more affordable, I can only see further trouble going down this route.

I also don't mind saying that I have a problem with the government using taxpayers money in this way, why should I/we be subsidising other people's mortgage when we are still paying off our own?!!

I wouldn't have a problem with the government subsiding further/higher training courses so that people can increase their potential for promotion.  Or, making University education free for all (of course, not allowing anyone to become eternal students!).

Or, if they really wanted to be useful why doesn't Gordon Brown sort out the pension problem that he had a huge hand in flushing down the pan??????????????????????

Don't even get me started on gun/knife crime - bring back National Service and parents stop blaming the teachers/government, sort your own kids out!!

Oh boy, another sarcastic 50's housewife who needs to get back to her twin-tub.  Sorry, I also got out of bed the wrong side this morning!!
