No, I mean... It was a bit rude.. But we don't hate on Kobe.. We hate on Kobe jockers, who are always saying he's the Best in the Planet! and he's better than MJ... and always on his peace.!!

No that's not why Kobe is hated, in that video I think most people understand that he's just a competitor losing. The main reason Kobe is hated is because he is a Laker. It's not uncommon that people dislike teams that dominate for many years (a.k.a. the hated 3-peat Lakers), and Kobe happens to star for the Lakers. It's like how people hate A-Rod, Tom Brady, etc.

Kobe is hated because he's one of the best at the game...This is common with several other sports including football (i.e. Patriots). Its a human tendency for people to support the underdog, the person who is less likely to win. In doing so, people claim they "hate" Kobe when they just don't want to favor the better player.

I love Kobe - He is an intelligent person, fantastic basketball player, full of aplomb.
