i'm concerned for her and about her.
i think she is going to "change her mind" about being the vp candidate and will do this in the next few days. i believe it is possible mccain already knows this and knew this before he even nominated her and it was part of some sort of strategy; to offer... the vp position to her for whatever benefits he could derive from that, fully knowing she will resign later.
what i mean is, a think tank came up with this gimmick to have her nominated then to have her back out; showing that mccain was.. willing to offer the vp position to a someone like her. then after she resigns he goes with the pick he really wants. a planned publicity stunt? do you think this is possible? i know it sounds like a crazy conspiracy but doesnt it make sense? what do you think?
what we know: she has 5 children. the youngest being 4 months-old.
her track record is arguably very sketchy. she resigned a position she was appointed to "ethics commisioner of alaska oil and gas conservation commsision". her stated reasons were what she called the "lack of ethics" of fellow Alaskan Republican leaders, who ignored her whistleblowing complaints of legal violations and conflicts of interest.
before mccain selected her, she gave interviews talking about how she didnt think she would be selected and didnt know whether the vp job was actually worth doing... also, she said the birth of her baby solidified her reasons for wanting to remain in alaska.
now, we also know that she does have some influential friends in alaska. she's gone from the city council to mayor to governor. she likes to fire important people, just something to be aware of.
she seems very hard headed; in with the guys; a very aggressive approach to management/possibly some ethics lapses.
she's spent her time in alaska, far far from washington d.c., the pressures of the job are 1 thing, the pressures from the television and print media and other media adds to that. along with such things as "getting caught up" on world matters and foreign policy and mccain's platform and economic and business matters foreign and domestic Etc. a huge amount of stuff to catch up on.
among world leaders, the u.s. president is expected to work with allied world leaders. the u.s. being a major "player" in nearly all world matters. john mccain is 72 years old. would john mccain actually set this woman up to be president were he to become incapacitated?
