  1. Short answer ... no.

Long answer ... the electoral college has, in the past, messed around with the results, so it is difficult to tell. However. if it is up to the Michael Moore liberals, then places like Flint, MI is a battleground and an example. If, however, you look to the south, in Danville, VA, you can see a similar story which favors free markets and the conservatives.

Here's the story: Danville was a very industrial town, with one big company employing most of the skilled workers. Then that company left and the town became a depressed area with high unemployment. But now the dollar fell and Ikea moved its first furnature manufactoring plant to Danville. Now those unemployed are working and the town is growing. Ikea benefits, Danville benefits. More companies are thinking about moving to Danville. And Danville will have multiple companies to support it rather than just one.

So, if anybody looks to Danville, Michael Moore will look stupid for whining about Flint. Michigan will look stupid for not doing what Virginia did.

Virginia is now a battleground state, but still holding strong for common sense and conservativism in business.
