  1. It depends on how many your school offers and what colleges you plan to apply to.

If your school offers 10 or more and you only tske three, you won't have a chance at top colleges. Colleges have your counselor check a box that compares how rigorous your course load was compared to what your school offers. Schools like the ivies and other top colleges will only consider kids who have taken the hardest possible load.

  2. Three is plenty trust me. If you want to get involved in sports and clubs. I took two last year and I'm taking three this year too. AP English, Spanish, and Civics. And AP classes are very time consuming I wouldn't over do it. 3 is good.

  3. i;d say that plenty! I'm a sophmore taking AP history, french, and chem lab. so thats 3 too.

  4. Hi,

It's great that you're taking 3 AP classes, and I'd say that's perfect for one year, because if you're looking to be a well rounded student, and are considering a good university, you need to join some clubs, like the National Honors Society, and even a sport here and there. Also, you need to do community service hours, which requires time. I myself have taken 3 AP classes, and it's pretty challenging, but nothing a hard working student can't handle. I also like that you've chosen an AP class from a variety of fields, that's key to universities. I mean you have your science, your social science and your english! That's awesome. I think you're on the right path.

    Keep up the good work!
