  1. At 12? Yes. Pitching overhand in general is not good for someone's arm, but when your arm hasn't finished growing, it is bad to throw a cut fastball or a curve or anything like that.

  2. All types of overhand throwing can lead to damage throughout the arm to the shoulder.  That is why Little League International has so many rules regarding pitching.  Work with a good coach that knows what he is doing and it will lessen the likely hood of injuries.

  3. Can be effective but not too badly.

  4. It's better than trying a slider or a curve. You throw it just like a two seamer but with an off center grip.

  5. It's probably bad for your arm because the tendons in your wrist aren't developed as well as a major league pitcher. I would at least limit the number of cut fastballs I threw along with the curve ball and other pitches that put a strain on your are until you are a least in high school, or else you run the risk of messing up you arm before you even get to high school.

  6. not at all ur supposed to throw it just as a regular fastball

  7. you should be alright buttonedt throw to many of any kind of breaking pitches or you'll mess up ur arm and not be able to pitch anymore

  8. sort of but i throw side arm and i am cut down on that because it is bad for my arm. But you should be fine its like throwing a 2 seamer.
