  2. Thumbsucking, in an adult, is usually and simply a manifestation of habit, as opposed to a mental problem or ocd.   3. OCD  stems from an underlying thought in which the individual believes that preforming the behaviors will keep the thought at bay.

    so, if the thumb sucking is compulsive, than yes, it could be an action linked to OCD, however if not, while still a strange behavior, it is not linked to OCD.
