Question:

Is tidepool and summerlime too bright for a beach wedding?

I am having a semi formal/casual beach wedding next summer. The ceremony is going to start at 11:30. I ordered beach embossed dresses from Jcrew because they are on sale and they are a light material, perfect for a hot summer day! Plus, they have a strapless, a line, bridesmaid look. They came in and they are a little brighter then I had expected. Any suggestions on how to tone it down? Would it be too much to bring in tangerines and fuchias?

  1. you can never to too bring at a beach wedding!

To tone it down ise colors like whites, ivory and champagne

  2. Not at all.  Those are traditional tropical colors and the beach has a lot of space and a lot of neutrals.  You can't go too bright.  You have the sand as a neutral.

I used turquoise and lime green, with fushia flowers and coral accents.  It was gorgeous.  My bridesmaids dresses were the bright turquoise and the tablecloths were lime.  Everyone said it was perfect colors.  It was bold and bright which completely suited us.

  3. If you bring in other colors like tangerine and fuchsia, it's going to look tropical, which might be too garish

f you combine  tidepool and summerline with neutral accessories and flowers it will tone down the colors, though I think both are very pretty for a summer beach wedding.
