Is tifton ga a good place to live, can you tell me about the area?

I have passed throught Tifton on my way to Jacksonville.

I guess lots of people do with I-75 there.

I honestly cannot remember a lot about it (we had just come from Plains and that IS an interesting town).

But I did some online reading about Tifton and it has some claims to fame.

The city has previously been recognized as a Top 100 Small Town and as the Cleanest City in America.

And it holds two records in the Guiness book of Records!

Until recently, Tifton was the home of the world's second largest magnolia tree.

Tifton also has a large music demographic with two venues, Lamplighter Pub and Spot Shot.

In addition to Tifton's good location and medium size population of some 15,000, these are all positive things.

What I didn't like was the registered number of s*x offenders the city has.

And the percentage of residents with income below the poverty line.
