Is time an illusion?

what exactly is time?

all we have in this universe is motion,

planets going around stars, energy and matter turning to each other,

we measure the intervals between events and call that time,

but is time a real quantity advancing in one direction?

Time is not an illusion, per say. But it can be a tool. I've noticed time to go by faster on some ocasions, and then slower on others. Not like the little, if your doing something time will go faster junk. I mean HUGE changed in time going from being fast to going super slow.

Time is our fourth dimension.I don't know if time is an illusion or not but at times, time seem to move faster or slower.We do need time to have order in the universe.The way we see time is connected to our own perceptions and reality.

does time exist? yes. it is the fourth spatial dimension.  does it move in one direction? we can only perceive the one direction so i cannot say for sure.  if time does not exist then why does it pass? we have defined time by intervals relative to our planet.  these intervals do not apply to other planets.  so the measurement of time is clearly flawed....and still it passes.

time defines the way we run our life. time itself is nothing in existence, its only a state of mind that we have created. if we didnt have time how would we know when to sleep, go to work, etc. we need a system that tracks what we are going to do....i do believe time is a real quantity advancing in one direction for the matter that we, humans, have asked: can we go bak in time and change the future?
