Yes today is 14th of shabaan, the day when the 12th Imam, Imam Mahdi (as) was born, His Birth Anniversary.

May Allah hasten His Appearance!

Today is suppose to be Shab e barat.

Shab e barat means "the night of forgiveness". It comes around fifteen days before the start of Ramadan. Muslims stay up the whole night and pray for forgiveness for the sins committed the previous year. It is believed that on this blessed night, man's fate is determined for the coming year.

And he is the 11 grand son of holly prophet Muhammad...
