I think that who ever was in power on the 80's the winds of change were upon us here in the UK.

British citizenship was available to all in most of the british empire and this allowed people who had the right to a british Passport to come here.  

Who can blame those people for coming here they were entitled to a better way of life after the way the empire destoyed many of their own ideals and traditions.

Unfortunately our services are so stretched now that everyone is going to suffer very shortly.

Yes. There is no comparison, Labour's Britain is a downward spiral into lawlessness, where the victims are punished and the yobs rewarded with holidays and the like.

I remember seeing M. Thatcher throw a hanky over the model of a planes tailfin  because the Union flag had been replaced by an ethnic design. Brown cannot hold a candle to Maggie, she would not have given Britain away to the Franco- German empire.

Yes it is.  Margaret Thatcher was called an Iron Lady.... not for nothing did she get that title, as she got this Country back on its feet, and now we have gone backwards again with this loony lot.We have restrictions on everything including speech, where we cannot open our mouths, in the fear that we may upset someone... the Immigrants of course, the very people who have invaded our Country... then we have to toe the line., in just about everything we do and say.   This Country is not ours now but theirs... while we have to take a back seat. I just wonder if we would have been allowed to do the same in reverse in their Country..... I think not !!

thatchers britain was good for me. i had a nice job. i bought my first house and all was well .i went out at night without getting stabbed or glassed. the pubs were full of friendly people that didnt want to fight. no one was obese. kids were well behaved usually. homelessness was a rarity.  now look at what we have. no one can afford to buy a house without having to work crippling hours to pay the mortgage. there are no jobs for our school leavers, students , housewives or semi retired's. the immigrants have all those jobs. the jobs that students used to do like beach cleaning, ice cream selling etc are finished for english people. cleaning that used to be done by part time mums or grans is no longer available to them. hospitals are terrifying places to be because of mrsa or any other killer illness that wasnt around in the 80's.  mums used to give birth in a hospital bed. now its often the car park or reception area of the dirty  understaffed hospital.the problem now , when the conservatives get back in is, how on earth can they undo the damage that the labour party has done? im sure they can because maggie did it  after the miners strikes and 3 day week and power cuts.

Mrs Thatcher gave people the chance to own their own homes, People who bought their council houses back then for peanuts still dont seem to understand that even if the prices drop now they are still alot better off with a legacy to leave their children, its just a shame that the Labour government wants to take it off them when they are dead. Mrs Thatcher broke the power of the unions, Got the Argies out of the Falklands,gave everyone the right to own their council houses She did more for Britain and its people than any Labour government has ever done. If she were in power today we would not have the street crimes we have now. The Iron Maiden did not get that name for nothing. It's not even close.  Practically everybody was being made unemployed whilst the television showed images of rich young idiots with red braces.  It's hard to realise just what a sh1tty immoral time it was.  And, yes, there was tons of terrorism courtesy of the IRA.  There was just about the same amount of xenophobia then as now, but then most of it came from thicko government ministers.  It was a truly horrible time.
