Not in the literal sense. Can we all agree that, health benefits aside, Tofu is at the very least uncool?

  1. What's uncool is saying that a perfectly healthy food is "g*y", but needlessly killing harmless animals for the pleasure of eating them.

  2. Tofu is cooler than you could ever be:)  Plus it's a lot more useful than your question.

  3. I don't know how you can say it is uncool?

    Do you eat sushi?

Do you think it is uncool?

Tofu is just as healthy as sushi.

Tofu takes on many different flavors similar to the way chicken picks up flavors but it contains no meat so if you have vegan guests you can serve it in your casseroles and give everyone a dose of proteans without offending.

Do you think that is uncool?

Giving foods gender bias is like a guy saying "I wouldn't be caught dead in a Beetle, it's a girls car."  when the only alternative is to walk 100 miles.

It is stupid and if that is the way you use "uncool" then perhaps you should rethink your vocabulary

  4. The only time tofu is uncool is when it's served piping hot.

But I personally think that tofu very much rocks.

Anyone who uses "g*y" as a derogatory term in the fashion you did is most decidedly uncool and unchill and a bigot to boot.

  5. Tofu is bomb.

    So cool.

    Ferr realll.

  6. Ok, it's uncool. Very healthy though.

  7. I'm a closet tofu eater.  My wife is japanese.  I will sometimes eat it in stir fry.  Sometimes I will eat it with chopped green onions and soy sauce.

  8. g*y? What is uncool -  or at any rate childish and ignorant - is to use the word g*y as a term of abuse.

And it's particularly stupid to use it of an inanimate object which is not capable of having any sort of sexual orientation.

I was a teacher at the time when 'g*y' became a casually used term of abuse among schoolchildren. I found asking them if they knew what it meant - and most kids young enough to be using it in that way had only the vaguest idea, as you probably have -  explaining it to them, and asking if they really thought it was an appropriate description of (to take your example) someone's food soon put a stop to it. Certainly by the time they were as old as you're required to be to use Yahoo Answers most of them had grown out of it.

Why don't you try growing out of it too? You'll appear far more intelligent.

As for tofu, it's a versatile food that can be used in hundreds of tasty dishes.

  9. Whether you mean it literally or not, characterizing things as "g*y" just because you think they're lame or uncool is, well, uncool.

I don't see how tofu can be cool or uncool.  It's food.  Are mushrooms cool?  Is chicken unchill?  What do you even mean?

  10. It's food that didn't involve the slaughter of innocent animals.

    What's wrong with 'g*y', anyhoo?

  11. Not if the tofu is in the refrigerator.

  12. I think Tofu is super cool! Because it's so full of protein but not from any animal!

  13. No, tofu is not uncool. A lot of people aside from vegetarians eat it, especially in places like New York and San Francisco, places that have fantastic vegetarian restaurants and are far from uncool. Also, I had a co-worker who was a former professional wrestler and currently has a heavy metal band, and he and his colleagues ate tofu frequently because it was such a great protein. So, no, tofu is definitely not uncool or decidedly unchill.

And where do you live that "g*y" is used a synonym for "uncool?"

  14. To me tofu is not g*y, but not cool.  its not g*y because it has many different uses and can adapt to just about any flavor, but in my life people very much dislike it.

  15. Me like bread crumbs better. So yummy.

  16. It's entirely possible that I'm g*y/uncool/decidedly unchill (however, I haven't recently had s*x with any men/been beaten up in sixth grade/disrupted a smoking circle) but tofu basically sustains me. It's also possible that you think it's a fine food source but have some other beef (haha, beef) against it as a material, but there's really nothing wrong with it at all. It's delicious, healthy, and takes on the flavor of whatever I cook it in.

I tend to eat it warm, if that's what you're getting at.

  17. Hey no, it's cool as f*ck man :-)
