  3. It depends on the soy bean. If the soy bean is genetically modified then yes the tofu is. But if the soy beans are GM free then so is the tofu. I believe in the US companies are not required to label GM food as such. So the only way to really be sure is to buy organic tofu. This ensures no pesticides have been used and it is not genetically modified.

  6. It depends if the soybeans used to make the tofu are genetically modified.  The only way to ensure you are not eating genetically modified food is to buy organic which under law can not contain GMOs.

    Tofu is made from soybeans, which are now genetically modified in many parts of the world. The tofu you buy will usually say on the packaging whether it contains genetically modified soybeans in it. Brands that aren't GM usually want to brag about it :)
