It is now, more than 200 years after Washington himself put a moratorium on torture.

Thankfully yes, so far.

That's why the current administration

has people they don't like who disagree

with their tactics kidnapped and carried

off to countries like Turkey and Egypt,

(it's called "Rendition") where they

allow torture. Convenient, eh?

Yes, but it's not illegal in Guantanamo Cuba where we have most of the Al Queda prisoners. Of course, it's Americans who are torturing these guys there. McCain and Obama are both against Bush's torture policy.
