  1. Almost everything that is organic is biodegradable overtime.  There are bio-remediation schemes for cleaning up toxic contaminants but the bacteria have to be bred for each particular organic compound.


  2. Not necessarily.  Toxic waste can be many different things, calling them toxic means they can poison humans or animals.  Some toxic wastes may biodegrade, most will not.
