  1. Why don't you come in Apulia and Salento (the heel of Italy), too?

It's a magnific place, lovely people, cristalline sea, lot of history and art.

And if you need some accomodation I can surely help you. Please visit my apulia website: http.//www:pugliarooms.com

See you in Italy, then!! Bye ^_^

  2. Rome will be crowded during Easter, but you should have a Great Time. You can check schedules of events areound the Vatican at: http://www.vatican.va/phome_en.htm.

One thing that you need to know if you're planing on taking day trips by train from Rome is that the trains are very crowded. For Eurostar or Intercity trains, reservations will be mandatory. You can check schedules for trains and make reservations at: http://www.trenitalia.com/en/index.html

This is a good site for checking events world-wide including Italy: http://www.whatsonwhen.com/sisp/index.ht...

  3. You will find a lot will be closed during that time.  If your interested in the Vatican, I'm sure they'll be having easter services at that time that you can go to watch.  It is generally a Catholic country so there will be a lot going on religious related at that time..

  4. We were in Rome this last Easter and yes the Vatican was crowded, but it wasn't as bad as you would think. We stayed in a hotel right outside the city and took the Metro.  A big plus of going to Rome on Easter is the parade the Pope makes from the Vatican to the Colloseum.

Even if your not going to Rome, the weather in most of the country was lovely and since alot of the art and places you would want to see is inside churches or in public places, you know they will be open on Sundays.  Also most towns and cities will have special events going on those days.

    Good Luck!
