There is a site that is a natural bowl nestled in the hills near Six Flags Magic Mountain. Near Hwy 126 and I-5 that I've heard NFL Stadium rumors about.

  1. i like six flags

  2. I've heard about it, but even if it is true, it won't get done anytime soon

  3. There is not a whole lot going on in the Santa Clarita Valley, so I don't know why on Earth they would want to put a stadium there. The one they wanted to build in the City of Industry sounded more reasonable.

  4. the property located behind magic mountain and near the 126 is reserved for development of the new community of Newhall Ranch.  A master planned community by Newhall Land and Farming Co. (the same company that planned Valencia).  However there is a lot of red tape from the state and county of Los Angeles.  They will not allow any more development in the Santa Clarita area until they get their traffic situation figured out.  Plus Santa Clarita was supposed to be a place built around nature, not in place of nature.  Locals do not want to see new development either.

Now the County of Los Angeles has also restricted Magic Mountain  from building anything else on it's 70 acres of land.  That is why most of the roller coasters are compacted inside of the park overlapping each other.

It would be nice to get a NFL Team in the Santa Clarita Valley, it would benefit Dan Snyder (who is still in a lot of debt from Six Flags) financially, plus it will make the greater north los angeles area more appealing instead of orange county.  However the conservative views of the SCV residents and LA county probably won't allow it.  We will just have to wait and see.
