  1. Sorry, but Brazilians still need visas to visit the United States.

  2. No, all Brazilians need visas for now. However, Brazil is a road map candidate for the U.S. Visa Waiver Program. This program allows citizens of certain countries to visit the U.S. without a visa for tourist stays of 90 days. The U.S. Senate recently passed Secure Travel and Counterterrorism Partnership Act which will allow 13 countries: Argentina, Brazil, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Israel, Malta, Slovakia, South Korea, Taiwan and Uruguay, to qualify for the Visa Waiver Program if their vsa refusal rate is 10% or less. Presently nations have to have a 3% refusal rate to qualify for the program.

Changes to the VWP are highly unlikely to change until after the next president is elected.  So far the only nations whose citizens can enter the U.S. without a visa are:

    Andorra

    Australia

    Austria

    Belgium

    Brunei

    Canada

    Denmark

    Finland

    France

    Germany

    Iceland

    Ireland

    Italy

    Japan

    Liechtenstein

    Luxembourg

    Marshall Islands

    (Republic of) Micronesia

    Monaco

    Netherlands

    New Zealand

    Norway

    Palau

    Portugal

    San Marino

    Singapore

    Slovenia

    Spain

    Sweden

    Switzerland

United Kingdom (including residents of Bermuda)

These nations are either part of the VWP, or have signed treaties with the United States granting them special admission into the USA.

  4. No, sorry, that is not true.  Currently, 27 countries participate in the US Visa Waiver Program, and Brasil is not one of those coutries.  You will need a visa.
