  1. yes you can get turbulance, just go to sleep to avoid this it is not the turbulance you should worry about it is getting a puncture on landing that is worse in my opinion

  2. It's not unusual, just think of it as going over a bumpy road surface, there's plenty of those to choose from! They don't cause a problem other than an uncomfortable ride for a while, the same as turbulence!

  3. Just enjoy turbulance - i know I do. It makes hours of sitting in a big metal can in the sky more interesting: kinda like a roller coaster. You could also shut your eyes, or eat something (obviously not something too messy, that's an accident waiting to happen!), or occupy yourself. Play something, listen to music, have a conversation or doodle on a piece of paper. Take your mind off things.

  4. Turbulence is very normal no matter wherever you fly. It is just shafts or pockets of air which when the plane enters them it can drop quite suddenly due to pressure changes. They can be scary, but what you have to remember is that flying is by FAR the safest way to travel. You are more likely to be struck by lightening, die from a bee sting, or die by having a vending machine falling on you than being involved in a plane crash. By the law of averages, you would need to travel on 160 flights a day from the day of your birth to your 75th birthday before you would statistically be likely to be involved in an air crash!!

Dont worry....(easier said than done I know!) think of it like a car driving over a bridge on a windy day...it may get rocked a little side to side, but it is fine! Take some music, and some sweets!! Good luck!

  5. Very little, take your ipod.
