i heard it was filmed in portland. the first two days of shooting were sunny so they were forced to do indoor shots first.

No, it was filmed mostly in Oregon. A bit of Washington. I live in Oregon, so I went to many of the sets. The interior of Forks Highschool was filmed at Madison High in Portland. The exterior of the highschool and the parking lot scenes were filmed in Kalama, WA. I know that they filmed in Vernonia, OR, many areas of Portland, Gresham, and at some Oregon beaches. There were some other little areas as well.
