Is two hours of taebo six days a week too much?

Hi. I'm seventeen and I'm trying to lose forty pounds (I'm 171 and losing that will help my high blood pressure and risk for diabetes) by February and keep them off for good.

After I lose that weight, i'll be in college, so i can change my eating style there and I'll do one hour of taebo each day instead of two.

Is it too much?

  1. If you an handle it I give you props I do taebo 4-5 days a week but only 45 min ( I have 2 kids so no time for more)  and it kicks my ***.   But I f you are trying to build strength and tone up at the same time very quickly than you are on the right path

  2. keep with it. That is perfect but as soon as your body get immune and you dont feel the burn as much you should switch the dvd to a new level.

  3. No, thats just right.

  4. No, that is a good amount of exercise.  Just remember that you need to drink a lot of water and make sure not to work your muscles too hard because you could pull something or hurt yourself.  If you are sore take a day off.

  5. nope i work out 3 hours a day 6 days a week and I am super healthy, good luck! i will prayer for weight loss! - michelle

  6. tae bo is great! but u have to give ur muscles a chance to rest between workouts. so mabey like do taebo every other day and u cud start doing like palities or something on the days that your not doing palaties

  7. I think doing taebo for 2 hours straight is just too much. You would need your muscle to rest also. If you still want to do the 2 hours, try to do an hour in the morning then an hour at night.

I did taebo and brisk working for an hour each. I did lose inches but I haven't hit the scales yet. I want to surprise myself.

Take care and good luck with your weight loss plan!=D

  8. I don't think you NEED that much.. but I don't think it will hurt anything. Just make sure you eat healthy meals that aren't too small.... stick with good portion sizes that fill you up, but aren't too much of course. Hey if you like Taebo, then stick with it!  It's important to have fun while working out! :) But don't forget you can always treat yourself to a day of rest too. That's great that you're working out to make yourself healthier! Props to you!!

  9. YOu need to give your body time to rest and recuperate. A days rest between tae-bo sessions. Ie: 2 hours every 2nd day.

If you do go ahead with 6/7 days - msg me and you may join my taebo army when we take over the world(are fridays busy for you?)

  10. not at all!

  11. that's a good amount of exercise, but you should work up to it. If you are not used to that much exercise, it could hurt you. If you are in good shape it's not a problem.

  12. This sounds great, just make sure you are eating enough protein for your muscles and getting your vitamins! It sounds like a great plan and fun. Plus you have realistic goals. Just stay determined and disciplined and you'll love your new body, plus be able to defend yourself and healthy. 6 days a week is only too much if you start to burn out, 5 may be enough... But if you're loving it, then it's no problem!
