  1. No, there are several new up and comers that aren't Brazilian. And three of the five belts are held by non-Brazilians.

    Examples:

BJ Penn - 155 lb belt holder

Georges St. Pierre - 170 lb belt holder

Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson - 205 lb belt holder

Here are a lot of other non-Brazilians in the UFC:

    Jon Fitch

    Heath Herring

    Sean Sherk

    Matt Hughes

    Frank Mir

    Chuck Liddell

    Forest Grififin

    Evan Tanner

    Diego Sanchez

    Roger Huerta

    Michael Bisping

    Mike Swick

    Ryo Chonan

    Dan Henderson

The list goes on and on. For a complete list of UFC fighters check out: http://www.ufc.com/index.cfm?fa=fighter....

  2. We are in the united states  where there are fighters from all over the world, if we were in Brazil; yes but not here.

But then again money talks; if Brazilian fighters will earn more money  and can put up with  the fighting rules here, maybe yes.

  3. No.

Fighting just like any sport has cyclical trends. Right now the Brazilians and thier techniques are popular and tough to beat. Soon enough other fighters will learn to counter those techniques and a new influx will begin.

It is similar to the spread offense in football right now. It has recently started gaining popularity but eventually teams will defend it and a new trend will start.

  4. the reason it seems that brazilian fighters are more prominent is becuz so many of them have been exposed to mma for many years dating back to vale tudo the early stages of mma. BJJ and Muay Thai are huge in mma and with all the world tournaments and events held there they get a lot of exposure. BUT to answer your question no they wont, UFC has alot more college wrestlers and fmr pro boxers coming in which are american and it will only be a matter of time before americans catch up to all the brazilians

  5. Nope.  American, European and Asian still dominate the sport.

  6. yep sorry your getting your @ss kicked for some time...it will eventually change but before then usa will move to another sport jut like boxing...you dont rule anymore

  7. At least the Brazillian fighters are getting more exciting.  I remember when the Brazillians used to try and shoot and if it didn't work they would flop on their back so the fight could get all homoerotic for them.  Now they stand and trade and take it down if necessary that's how it should be.
