  1. in brief, no

geo thermal heating uses a heat pump, like an air conditioner to extract the trace heat from the ground, this uses electric, with carefull design solar water heating can work without power when conected to a good old conventional water storage tank like whatyou can find in your airing cupboard

  2. Basically underground water is the safest water provided there is no pollution caused from the ground level and subsoil strata. Before coming into a conclusion about the safety of groundwater, it is always preferable to test it.

Water heated by solar energy enables removal of disease causing pathogens; of course not all of them! Because it is found that even after heating water to its boiling point, some types of pathogens are able to survive.

So, underground water is better provided it is not affected by external pollution.

  3. You mean geothermally heated or hot springs?   Yes, its hot day and night while the sun only heats water during the day.

  4. Certainly, Underground water is better. Underground water is purified & cleaned with natural materials present in earth or soil where as solar heated water just clean the water becteria.

    Thanks

    Ben
