  1. Mainstream journalism is in a sad state of affairs.  Planting fake reporters at press conferences did alot to damage the medias credibility, but moreso with the selective coverage and slanted bias that is evident in many syndicated "news" shows.

    Have you noticed that everyone on MSNBC can editorialize?  I thought journalism was an unbiased report.  Bill O'Reilly is probably the worst when it comes to editorialized "spin".  Most of the major networks haven't shown the arrests of the journalists outside of the Republican National Convention - why is that?  

    Everyone has an opinion, but if I want to read it, I'll turn to the editorial page.  The only unbiased news I've watched lately has been the BBC.  Gives you an entirely new perspective on how the world actually views our country.

    News should be news - get the shot and deliver the story, but opinions of the reporters (as well as the political bias of the station owners) should not be any part of a public broadcast.

    The first step towards fascism is control of the media.
