Question:

Is uristat or any other urinary health pill considered an antibiotic?

i was curious because im on birth control and im kind of scared that im pregnant. i've gotten sick at random[only once] and i've have cramping for about 2 weeks and that started after my period. the only pill that i've taken besides the birth control is uristat.

  1. Not really since it acts as a pain reliever that affects the lower urinary tract(bladder and urethra).

    Uristat is used to treat pain, burning, increased urination, and increased urge to urinate; but the medication does not target the actual infection and that is when antibiotics are used

Absolutely not!  Antibiotics can only be prescribed by your doctor.  If you don't have an infection...drinking water, staying clean, and taking care of yourself nutrition wise should be great for your urinary health.  You do need a preg. test though.  Prenatal vitamins have High amounts of folic acid in them which is great for the babies development...esp. in the first trimester.  Good Luck and schedule an appt. to see your Ob/Gyn.
