  1. Nope as long as you adhere to the 14 club rule you're good to go.


  2. Fourteen clubs is the magic word. The chipper head cannot be configured to use from both sides, it must meet the USGA  groove depth standard . Most clubs used in high school are better than those of the fathers.

  5. Snish nailed the answer on this one... Provided you are at 14 clubs or less AND the club is not designed for front and backside (L/R) use, you are good to go... BUT, if you use a hybrid (eg. a Taylor Made Rescue) - you can seriously use this club as the chipper.  Just choke down and stroke like a putter.  This is a pretty popular thing on all the tours and something I practice. (not too effectively, but at least I try.)
