  1. the main goal with burshing teeth is the actual brushing and has nothing to do with the type of toothpaste you use

  2. I read somewhere that fluoride rinses are really good for people especially children. It is most effective when used as a rinse that you swish for 30 seconds every few months. Fluoride is most effect on the surface of the teeth rather then ingesting. Fluoride is great for strengthening the enamel of teeth.

  3. Fluoride that is put in drinking water was originally considered hazardous waste.  It is produced in the manufacture of aluminum, if my memory serves me correctly.  The aluminum industry seized on the observation that people is some areas whose drinking water contained natural fluoride, had fewer cavities in their teeth.

This is a classical example of how special interests can used government to enrich themselves.  Something that was considered a hazardous substance, became a valued commodity for preventive medicine, or so we were told.

Other authorities claimed that fluoride could be cumulative, and be harmful to health.  I really don't know where the truth lies.  But one fact is clear.  When government arrogates itself the power to administer forced medication, freedom is at risk.

If fluoride is good, and government has the power to mandate it in the public's drinking water, what else could be desireable?

In a free country, the people have the  right to decide on their own medication.

  4. Fluoride in the drinking water is NOT a good idea!

Fluoride in toothpaste is a good idea,  however there is a LOT of good science behind NOT fluoridating the public water supply.

  5. i found out recently that fluoride was added to the concentration camps water during  the Holocaust. Is it true to make people more complacent?

  6. Some areas have fluoride added in the water so everyone is getting it regardless of how they feel about these additives.  However a few counties here and there do not.  Fluoride has been proven to strengthen teeth.

  7. no its not, there is already plenty in our drinking water

  8. It varies as to whom you're asking. Most doctors recommend it, but it is found in all sorts of products and even your water in a large enough quantity that it doesn't need to be in your toothpaste as well. If it were not already in everything else, then yes, you might need it....however TOO MUCH flouride in lab rats has caused all sorts of brain damage...and lots of people are strongly against it.
