  1. You could easilly do about 30-40 cd's a day without breaking it.laptop cd/dvd roms don't easilly break unless ofcourse you drop it or use it as a coffee stand.LOL

  2. should handle it but will put wear and tear on it

  3. Depends how you handle the loading and unloading. With proper handling, it should not break.

  4. I have a desktop computer with a cd drive that I've been using for years and have never had any issues with the drive. I don't think that desktops really have anything to worry about because they don't go through any sort of tipping or get dropped often enough for something to be knocked loose.

If it's a laptop then there is a chance that you could break that cd drive, but I think the only way it'd be broken is if you really dropped the thing, or if you dropped it while your computer's using the cd drive.

  5. No, using your DVD drive that much isn't going to damage your drive. Disc drives are very sturdy and can last for years even with regular use. Just remember to clean the lens every few months.

Just be sure that you don't let your laptop heat up too much by letting it sit on a bed the whole time you're doing this. Running your drive for long periods generates heat inside it, which needs to be vented through the fan at the back.
