Is using random, sporadic capitalization some kind of new trend?

Just noticed that a lot of people seem to randomly use capitals all over the place in the middle of sentences.

There is no justification for capitalizing in the middle of a sentence, that I'm aware of.  The only times the upper case letters should be used are at the beginning of a sentence, or with proper nouns.

I Think That They Are Using Capitalisation For Every Word.

Maybe they think it's clever?  (Certainly doesn't make things easy to read - or write!)
